The Razor 3 area is underlain by volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group which is intruded by a granodioritic stock of the Late Early Jurassic Cone Mountain Plutonic Suite.

Ultramafic and andesitic rocks occur in an area where mineralized samples were collected in 1990 by Shellex Gold. These rocks contained chalcopyrite and pyrite and assayed up to 3.59 per cent copper, 0.03 per cent lead, 0.01 per cent zinc, 6.4 grams per tonne silver and 0.12 gram per tonne gold over 1 metre (Figure 4, sample 90-G1-X06, Assessment Report 21145). A geologic contact is reported to occur in the vicinity.

See Gu (MINFILE 104G 075) for details of a common work history.
